Carl G. Shea is a Enterprise Agile & Leadership Coach with 25+ years of IT experience, currently serving with one of the world's largest IT services companies, Tata Consulting. Carl is an accomplished IT leader with a solid history of successfully delivering top-quality products, resources, support and guidance to multimillion-dollar programs across both government and corporate industries.

He is an active and contributing member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Scrum and Agile alliances and is honored to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management. He combines education and hands-on expertise with a proficiency in a myriad of management and technical tools to facilitate project success; he is a creative leader and strong believer that “management is doing things right and leadership is doing the right things.”

Carl is a ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC), ICAgile Certified Professional - Agility in the Enterprise (ICE-ENT), ICAgile Certified Professional - Coaching Agile Transformations (ICP-CAT), a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Master Project Manager (MPM), Certified International Project Manager (CIPM), Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt, ITIL and CMMI certified. Carl also has 10+ years of Agile practical experience; For which he is a professional Agile Coach with designations as ICAgile Certified Professional Agile Coach (ICP-AC),  ICAgile Certified Professional Agile Team Facilitator (ICP-ATF), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Scrum Professional (CSP) designations, PMI-ACP, including the Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC) certification. Additionally Carl is a certified EQ-I 2.0 Practioner, serving the Emotional Intelligence assessment and growth needs of his clients.

Carl is actively involved with the Agile Coaching Institute & Trans4mation to learn, grow and develop a true understanding of the Professional Agile coach role and Conscious Agile Leaders. This pursuit has allowed Carl to pursue and complete training and practice in several advanced coaching concepts including; Coaching Agile teams, The Agile Coaching Stance and Leading from the Edge – the Agile Systems coaching approach, Advance communication, facilitation, and conflict negotiation. Additionally Carl is on a journey of applying emotional intelligence to the agile world.

Carl is the innovator and original author of the Daikibo Large Scale Agile Framework. The framework supports and follows an Enterprise Value Stream flow that facilitates the inception of a business idea at the Portfolio level through its final value realization following the Agile Manifesto. The framework includes a unique and specialized delivery engine that supports and has an emphasis on large scale programs that are regionally or globally distributed.

Immediately prior to joining TCS, Carl spent 5+ years with Cognizant and 6+ years with ACS and then EDS/HP as a Program Director managing integrated Infrastructure and Application Delivery projects and programs across many large organizations, including programs such as General Motors, 7-Eleven, Cardinal Health and American Airlines.  Before that, he spent nearly 15 years owning his own small consulting company of 15-20 resources focused on the management and delivery of Information Engineering services, serving state, and federal governments as well as several fortune 500 companies.

Carl has earned a Computer Programming and Information’s Systems degree, as well as, his Bachelors of Science and Masters in Business Administration.
